The Ministry of Counter Narcotics is committed to reform of public administration to support the changes which will fulfill the vision and policies for the future of our country. It is the Constitutional duty of state to adopt necessary measures for creation of a strong and sound administration Article 50. The Government also strongly supports the establishment of a professional, efficient, politically impartial and responsible Civil Service, open to all Afghans.
The Ministry of Counter Narcotics wishes to provide and deliver modern administrative and facilities support services to the centre of government.
The Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director of CNTF. He/She is responsible for arranging CNTF Management Board and Steering Committee meetings/appointments, receiving visitors, drafting routine correspondence and taking notes of meetings.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Arrange CNTF Management Board and Steering Committee meetings.
2. Take minutes of the Management Board and Steering Committee meetings and circulate to the members.
3. Draft routine correspondence, dispatch and follow up outgoing correspondence.
4. Prepare handouts for the meetings.
5. Develop and maintain a filing system for the secretariat.
6. Make arrangements/ provide logistical support for meetings, conferences and workshops.
7. Perform any other duties assigned by the head of the directorate.
Qualifications required:
1. High school graduate, BA or equivalent is essential.
2. At least One Years of relevant experience, including working in international organizations is essential.
3. Fluency in spoken and written Dari, Pashto and English Languages is essential.
4. Possess good personal management skills.
5. Ability to work as part of a team.
6. Good computer skills, knowledge of MS office package is essential.
7. Ability to establish and maintain close relations with key counterparts in Ministries, international organizations, donors and other interested organizations.
