The Asia Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization committed to the development of a peaceful, prosperous, and open Asia-Pacific region. Duties & Responsibilities:


1. Provide sound advice and support for the implementation of the entire public outreach program;

2. Ensure proper development of the civic education and voter education campaigns, the strategies and methodologies for civic education program implementation in Afghanistan;

3. Coordinate with and act as a link between the different sections within HQ;

4. Advise on production of all civic education/public outreach materials, on development and

5. management of the civic education/public information strategy at national level;

6. Liaison and coordination on means to improve the participation of women in the election;

7. processes with local and international NGOs, government departments (Ministry of Women’s Affairs) and national machineries for gender issues.






Qualifications required:


1. University degree, diploma or equivalent training in civic education, media, journalism, social sciences, human resources management or related field;

2. Must have high level project management organizational and administrative skills;

3. Expertise in public speaking, excellent written and oral communication skills;

4. Practical experience in development and implementation of civic/voter education/media/ public information activities;

5. Sound knowledge of gender issues, and commitment to improving the participation of women in the electoral process;

6. Previous experience in Afghanistan or other Islamic countries an asset;

7. Fluency in English, working knowledge of Dari and/or Pashto an asset.
